We are searching for a Specialist, Emergency Management & Community Engagement to join our team for a term position ending on March 31, 2025. We are searching for a member to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping emergency management plans and engaging with community leaders to build an understanding and consensus of the critical role of being prepared for, and responding to, emergencies. 

 

Overview of the Position:

Reporting to the Vice President, Business Impact & Engagement, the team member will be responsible for the emergency management plan for the Vancouver Island Region. They will engage with levels of government, rights holders, stakeholders, community leaders, and partners to ensure that emergency management plans are aligned and supportive. This role will also support the advancement of 4VI as a social enterprise, aligning with the pillars of social responsibility: businesses, communities, culture, and the environment. We are seeking a professional with a strategic mindset, and someone who is ready to embrace challenges.

Job Type: Full-time, term ending March 31, 2025

Wage: $30-33 per hour, 40 hours per week

Work Location: Hybrid role, based on Vancouver Island, preferably in Victoria or Nanaimo
